  A  species  of  jalap,  of  very  feeble  properties,  said  to  be 
  obtained  from  the  root  of  a  species  of  {Convolvulus}  ({C. 
  Mechoacan});  --  so  called  from  Michoacan,  in  Mexico,  whence 
  it  is  obtained.
