Discuss \Dis*cuss"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Discussed}; p. pr &
vb n. {Discussing}.] [L. discussus, p. p. of discutere to
strike asunder (hence came the sense to separate mentally,
distinguish); dis- + quatere to shake, strike. See {Quash}.]
