  1.  At  ease;  free  from  pain,  trouble,  or  constraint;  as: 
  a  Free  from  pain,  distress,  toil,  exertion,  and  the 
  like  quiet;  as  the  patient  is  easy. 
  b  Free  from  care  responsibility,  discontent,  and  the 
  like  not  anxious;  tranquil;  as  an  easy  mind.
