  surplus;  excellence.  (1.)  Father-in-law  of  Moses  (Ex.  4:18 
  marg.),  called  elsewhere  Jethro  (q.v.).

  (3.)  The  father  of  Amasa,  David's  general  (1  Kings  2:5,  32);
