  A  Jewish  critical  work  on  the  text  of  the  Hebrew  Scriptures, 
  composed  by  several  learned  rabbis  of  the  school  of  Tiberias, 
  in  the  eighth  and  ninth  centuries.  [Written  also  {Masorah},
