a A common European duck ({Aythya ferina}); -- called also
{goldhead}, {poker}, and {fresh-water, or red-headed},
{widgeon}.
b The American redhead, which is closely allied to the
European poachard.

rufina}).
{Scaup poachard}, the scaup duck.
