  Icel.  r["o]skr  vigorous,  brave,  akin  to  D.  &  G.  rasch  quick, 
  of  uncertain  origin.]

  counting  the  cost.  A  man  is  foolhardy  who  throws 
  himself  into  danger  in  disregard  or  defiance  of  the
