n. {Resorting}.] [OF. resortir to withdraw, take refuge, F.
ressortir to be in the jurisdiction, LL resortire pref. re-
re- + L. sortiri to draw lots obtain by lot from sors lot

to gain by appeal to a higher court (as a law term), to
appeal, go for protection or refuge.]
