sethen, AS se['o]?an; akin to D. sieden, OHG. siodan, G.
sieden, Icel. sj??a, Sw sjuda, Dan. syde, Goth. saubs a
burnt offering. Cf {Sod}, n., {Sodden}, {Suds}.]
To decoct or prepare for food in hot liquid; to boil; as to
