See {Expurgate}, {Purge}.] (Bot.) Any plant of the genus Euphorbia. See {Euphorbia}. {Spurge flax}, an evergreen shrub ({Daphne Gnidium}) with crowded narrow leaves. It is native of Southern Europe. {Spurge laurel}, a European shrub ({Daphne Laureola}) with oblong evergreen leaves. {Spurge nettle}.
