  st['e]atite.]  (Min.) 
  A  massive  variety  of  talc,  of  a  grayish  green  or  brown  color. 
  It  forms  extensive  beds,  and  is  quarried  for  fireplaces  and 
  for  coarse  utensils.  Called  also  {potstone},  {lard  stone}, 
  and  {soapstone}.
