garu, OHG. garo, G. gar, Icel. gerr perfect, g["o]rva quite,
G. gerben to tan, to curry, OHG. garawen garwen, to make
ready. Cf {Carouse}, {Garb} clothing, {Gear}, n.]
Ready; dexterous; eager; lively; quick to move [Obs.] ``Be
