Illustrate \Il*lus"trate\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Illustrated}; p.

illustrare to illustrate, fr illustris bright. See
{Illustrious}.]
1. To make clear, bright, or luminous.
Here when the moon illustrates all the sky.
