  1.  (Anat.)  Of  or  pertaining  to  an  umbilicus,  or  umbilical 
  cord;  umbilic.

  a  (Anat.)  The  cord  which  connects  the  fetus  with  the 
  placenta,  and  contains  the  arteries  and  the  vein
