Bayard \Bay"ard\, n.
1. [OF. bayard, baiart bay horse; bai bay + -ard. See {Bay},
a., and {-ard}.] Properly, a bay horse, but often any
horse. Commonly in the phrase blind bayard, an old blind
horse.
