  1.  Relating  to  color,  or  to  colors. 
 
  2.  (Mus.)  Proceeding  by  the  smaller  intervals  (half  steps  or 
  semitones)  of  the  scale,  instead  of  the  regular  intervals 
  of  the  diatonic  scale.
