The form {Awoke} is sometimes used as a p. p.] [AS. [=a]w[ae]cnan, v. i. (imp. aw[=o]c), and [=a]wacian, v. i. (imp. awacode). See {Awaken}, {Wake}.] 1. To rouse from sleep; to wake; to awaken.
