  A  disease  of  the  eyes,  in  consequence  of  which  a  person  can 
  see  clearly  or  without  pain  only  by  daylight  or  a  strong 
  artificial  light;  day  sight. 
 
  Note:  Some  writers  (as  Quain)  use  the  word  in  the  opposite
