Of pertaining to resembling, or containing, manganese; specif., designating compounds in which manganese has a higher valence as contrasted with manganous compounds. Cf {Manganous}. {Manganic acid}, an acid, {H2MnO4}, formed from manganese, analogous to sulphuric acid.
