  A  kind  of  ball-shaped  fungus  ({Lycoperdon  giganteum},  and 
  other  species  of  the  same  genus)  full  of  dustlike  spores  when 
  ripe;  --  called  also  {bullfist},  {bullfice},  {puckfist}, 
  {puff},  and  {puffin}.
