To bewilder; to stupefy; to bring into a maze. [Obs.] A labyrinth to amaze his foes. --Shak. 2. To confound, as by fear, wonder, extreme surprise; to overwhelm with wonder; to astound; to astonish greatly. ``Amazing Europe with her wit.'' --Goldsmith.
