  name  of  the  region  where  the  animals  were  discovered  +  Gr 
  qhri`on  beast.]  (Paleon.) 
  An  extinct  genus  of  large  Eocene  ungulates  allied  to 
  Dinoceras.  This  name  is  sometimes  used  for  nearly  all  the 
  known  species  of  the  group  See  {Dinoceras}.
