  (Gr.  form  Beel'zebul),  the  name  given  to  Satan,  and  found  only

  probably  the  same  as  Baalzebub  (q.v.),  the  god  of  Ekron,  meaning 
  "the  lord  of  flies,"  or  as  others  think,  "the  lord  of  dung,"  or
